Outcome of RCoA EGM

The Extraordinary General Meeting of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, called in response to members’ concerns about the expansion of the Anaesthesia Associate role, and issues with anaesthetic training and recruitment, has taken place.

All six of the resolutions proposed by members were carried by large majorities.

The College have now committed to work urgently to consider how best to implement the resolutions.

All the resolutions and the details of the votes can be found in the College’s statement here: https://rcoa.ac.uk/news/outcome-rcoa-extraordinary-general-meeting-17-october-2023
