AAGBI Open Letter to the Secretary of State

The Association of Anaesthetists has published an open letter to Steve Barclay, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.

In this strongly worded statement they raise concerns about workforce retention, pay erosion, medical associate professions and medical degree apprenticeships. They also discuss the current anaesthetic workforce crisis and express disappointment in the failure to address the shortage of training posts in the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.
